Marilyn J. Krajicek, EdD, RN, FAAN, has directed the NRC interdisciplinary team since 1995. The NRC core staff has been consistently interprofessional, including the disciplines of nursing, medicine, psychology, nutrition, early childhood care and education, instructional design, information technology, public health, library science, and family consumers.
The NRC leadership and staff engage and coordinate a vast array of volunteer national and international subject matter experts in the development and revision of the CFOC standards and standards-based resources. These contributions are essential to protecting the health and safety of young children in early care and education programs. The NRC acknowledges the exceptional contributions in maintaining the integrity of the CFOC standards by Susan S. Aronson, MD, FAAP, and Albert Chang, MD, MPH, FAAP in CFOC2, and by Danette Glassy MD, FAAP and Jonathan B. Kotch, MD, MPH, FAAP in CFOC3.
Contributors to the third edition may be viewed on the Acknowledgements page of CFOC3. Numerous subject matter experts provided valuable input to the end product and the NRC acknowledges those individuals whose names may have been omitted. Many experts currently contribute to revisions of CFOC3 standards. The NRC recognizes the continuing contributions of Dr. Glassy, as well as Steve Shuman and Abbey Alkon, PhD, RN, FAAN, who serve as the current CFOC3 Expert Advisory Group.
