Texas Regulations
The regulations listed below are current as of September 18, 2008

Texas has four different documents regulating health and safety in child care.
Effective Date
Chapter 42: Regulation of Certain Facilities, Homes, and Agencies that Provide Childcare Services 9/1/2007
Chapter 746: Minimum Standard Rules For Licensed Child-Care Centers 3/1/2008
Chapter 747: Minimum Standard Rules for Registered and Licensed Child-Care Homes 6/1/2008

Please note: Some cities and/or counties in Texas have additional regulations. Please check with your city and county government for more information.
